1000D fabric consists of high tenacity nylon yarn, plain woven fabric with a polyurethane coating, making it water repellent (durable).Denier nylon is not as expensive as its Cordura version, but it has very similar properties. We use Cordura to refer to any hook and loop such as Velcro. As a result of this durability, military specified products often require Cordura. But for commercial uses, nylon canvas works just as well.
Resistant to abrasion, high-strength, price and a variety of colors make denier nylon a popular choice for durable products. 1050D ballistic nylon is also available for purchase.
